Amanda Bynes

The enchanting look and wholesome aura of Amanda Bynes made her well loved among audiences of all, from your three-year old kid to your grandmother. Her uncanny ability to make everyone laugh made her popular to everyone in the world with a Nickelodeon channel. But don’t be fooled by her sweet looks, she’s grossing $2.5 an estimate per year! She landed on the fifth spot of Forbes list of highest paid young celebrity. But to the young audience, she is one of the most lovable actresses in television and in the silver screen. And with all her fans to back her up, she was included in “25 Hottest Stars Under 25” by Teen People.

If you are a Nickelodeon fan, you are probably an Amanda Bynes fan as well. You would recognize her in Nickelodeon shows like “Figure It Out” and “All That”. And because of her natural appeal to the young audience, she starred in her own sketch show “The Amanda Show”, the show that made Amanda a household name. With her increasing popularity, there is no other way but to go up. She started getting lead roles in films and made a debut in the 2002 comedy movie “Big Fat Liar” alongside Frankie Muniz. A year later, she grabbed a solo lead role in the movie “What a Girl Wants” with Oliver James. She also starred in current hit comedy films like “Lovewrecked”, “Hairspray” and “Sydney White”

In spite of all her successes, Amanda Bynes kept her feet on the ground. Even though she is being compared to Hollywood start like Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton and other Beverly Hills teen stars, she says that she is more similar to her teen audiences that she is similar to these Hollywood socialites. Her “every day girl” attitude and personality is what brought her closer to the heart of the youth.

As young as she is, she landed on the 79th spot on FHM 100 Sexiest Woman 2007 and belonged to People Magazine’s 100 Most Beautiful People.

Amanda Bynes MAKES her own gifts!  December 1, 2007

And I bet, she saves a lot of money from it, lol! According to the Nickelodeon princess, "In my family, we make a lot of our gifts. I like to draw, so I'll decorate a plate, or I'll do an oil painting. It just means more when you make a gift from scratch." Amanda Bynes also blings up her own wrapping paper by drawing holly or little bows with bright markers. She and her sister, Jillian, create their own Christmas cards too. How's that for artistic huh? Amanda Bynes used to design her own clothes with patterns and materials that she handpicked. At 8, she took sewing classes at a local fabric store. "I come from an artistic family, and I was always the person drawing on the paper tablecloth at restaurants."

Aside from doing her own gifts, Amanda Bynes is also the designated one to decorate their house. She usually uses scented candles (she likes cinnamon and gingerbread) and her Marvin the Martian ornaments. And as per their family tradition, she will bake her famous pumpkin chocolate-chip cookies during the holidays. She says, "Instead of flour, you use pumpkin from a can. They are so good!" Hmmm, that sounds great! Think I'm gonna try this one at home, yum! =)

Amanda Bynes - Got Milk? Got Milk?  November 13, 2007

The ever famous "Got Milk" ad finally lands on Amanda Bynes! The talented actress will be the latest celebrity to join the new Body by Milk campaign created to encourage teens to be active and drink 3 glasses of lowfat or fat free milk everyday to stay healthy. Yup, lowfat and nonfat milk! Coz it seemed that teens have this misconception that milk makes people fat, and so they don't drink it. So now, the option of lowfat and nonfat milk is introduced, courtesy of Amanda Bynes. Says her poster below: "Metamorphosis. What's changed since the Amanda Show? Me. And milk has helped. Studies suggest teens who choose milk over sugary drinks tend to be leaner, plus the protein helps build muscle. Grow beautiful, inside and out." Nice copy! I'm sure teens would lap up the "teens who choose milk over sugary drinks tend to be leaner" part =) Anyway, the ad debuted in Rolling Stone last November 2. If you want more of Amanda Bynes and milk, go to bodybymilk.com -- her ad, her favorite music, and behind the scenes footage from her ad shoot can all be seen there. Enjoy!

Dear by Amanda Bynes  October 18, 2007

As with other “artistic” Hollywood celebrities, Amanda Bynes has established her own clothing line called “Dear by Amanda Bynes”. Her products are sold exclusively in Steve & Barry’s stores. According to the 21-year old actress, she named her line Dear because of she thought of the things dear to her. Says Amanda, “I was sitting around a table with several of the collaborative designers, and one of them drew a deer as a potential graphic for a T-shirt. That’s when it hit me. I hold many things dear to me. For some people, certain clothing items or jewelry pieces are dear to them. I thought it was appropriate and fun and fresh.”

When asked how her clothes differ from all the other celebrity products, Amanda Bynes revealed that she doesn’t “…look at anyone else’s really. I kind of do my own thing. I’m definitely inspired by designers all over the world, but there’s room for everyone. I’m not trying to change the world with my collection, but I wouldn’t mind setting some trends.” Yeah well, good luck to you Amanda! =)
